Notes & Combos

Utopia deck (re)made for another Dice Rally. Minor tweaks here and there compared to the previous list, but the basic idea is still the same as in the previous Dice Rally.

Going second, the main gameplan is to "Feel the Flow" by having 2 level 4s for the Utopia Double OTK, assuming the opponent is nice enough to leave a simplified board state for the OTK to happen, as in...

• 2 level 4s equals OTK vs a monster that has 2k or less attack that's in attack position.

While going first, the idea is to "High Five the Sky" and set a board that under ideal circumstances should have at least Utopia Dragonar summoning Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray (turn 1) equipped with Twin Pegasus Saber for that sweet double monster negate and Hope Harbinger (turn 2) to deal with most common spells or Utopia Beyond to mass debuff the opponents' monsters in niche circumstances. Other endboard pieces include Xyz Armor Fortress ready to become Dark Knight Lancer thanks to Full-Armored Xyz for a delicious "monster meal" and Utopic Draco Future ready to negate an opponent's monster effect and possibly taking control of it. Another card to take into account is Numbers Protection which is able to negate almost anything an opponent may throw at you (other than a stray Red Reboot or a Forbidden Droplet pitching traps).

I chose this deck for two reasons, the first one being the ability to semi-reliably perform all three bonus objectives just by playing the deck.

• Summon a 2500+ attack monster: A bunch of Xyz monsters fall into this category, for example, the star of the show Utopia has exactly 2500 attack points and is part of the main combos.

• Summon a Dark monster: Gagagaga Magician in UDF lines and Gagaga Magician as a backup main deck Dark monster.

• Activate the effect of a Continuous Spell/Trap: Onomatopickup and Xyz Change Tactics.

The second reason for picking this deck is the ability to play around the event's freebies, a monster freebie that isn't an Xyz or a Link can have their levels modded by Onomatopickup (and bonus points if the freebie is a level 4 monster, no need to do any level manipulation shenaningans) while most spells/traps are discard fodder for Onomatopaira or Astraltopia.
