Notes & Combos

Starting at DLv. 12, I played Lunalight for this Duelist Cup and reached Duel DLv. Max with 28-9 record across 37 games. Here's the statistical breakdown of my performance:

• Overall Win Rate = 75.68%
• Win Rate Going 1st = 85%
• Win Rate Going 2nd = 64.71%
• Average Game Length = 2.05 Turns

I knew that Dracotail would be overrepresented in this Duelist Cup so I chose this deck because I think Lunalight has a good matchup against Dracotail. I was careful to play around Flame by baiting out its activation with Masquerade or Perfume, and always saved Ghost Belle to counter it. Lunalight Fusion was a key card going 2nd because resolving it meant a Liger Dancer on the field with three other Lunalight monsters on field or in hand.

My other matchups were against decks playing countermeasures for Dracotail, specifically. Nearly all of my losses were from either bricked hands going 2nd or getting stymied by cards like Dimensional Fissure or Retaliating "C". I expect people to be playing a lot of Dracotail or adding even more countermeasures for that archetype in the 2nd Stage.

This was a relatively easy climb where I only de-ranked once between DLv. 15 and 16. Good luck to all you Duelists out there who are want to go for it during the 2nd stage!
