Notes & Combos

Got to the 2nd Stage of this Duelist Cup with Purrely!

I copied this decklist, but I made a few changes to the Extra Deck: https://www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/master-i/december-2025/purrely/jammo/SZ_oC

Basically I replaced Slacker, Ensemblue and the second S:P Little Knight with Nightingale, an extra copy of Epurrely Happiness and Expurrely Happiness (which I never used)

Here's my experience:

Unfortunately it's a very "go first" deck. The 14 handtraps out of 40 total cards help mitigate that. Still, if you go second and don't have enough handtraps (or get the wrong ones), you're done for.

This said, if you do go first and the opponents doesn't start with too many handtraps, or you handtrapped your opponent enough to have a chance to play, you can build a solid field with very few summons.

The most important thing is to get Expurrely Noir on the field, ideally by summoning it with any Epurrely with 5 materials. Make the cat as fat as possible.

Purrelyeap can also make a 5+ material Noir on the opponent's turn from any 3 material Epurrely Xyz, if the field spell is active, but it will be gone on the opponent's other turn. With the field spell, add at least one Delicious or a Sleepy memory on your standby phase. Your Noir should have at least one of each.

If you manage to have the fat cat on the field with at least 5 materials (they make it immune to all activated effects) and enough DEF on defense position, you can sit back and watch as the opponents struggles to out it... provided they don't have kaijus or Dimensional Barrier.

Handtraps review:

-Red Reboot saved me against Odion many times (and Maliss once).

-Retaliating "C" is invaluable against Dracotail, if you go second and drop it on their turn, they have little chance for a comeback.

-Veiler and Ash are always good, but they must be timed right and not be wasted.

-Nibiru is the only one that felt useless. Either I opened with it going first, or it was never to be found when actually needed.

This said, it was a tough climb, but I made it!

Always remember: The cat MUST be fat.
