Notes & Combos
Memento Sweep
From dia to m4 I played 40 cards with 1 less goblin, no grand breakout breakout, 1 less fuwa, +1 Thrust then switched to this list. Cut the reinforcement later, worse without thrust.
Best winstreak in m4-2: 11
You can usually play great into blue eyes unless they set up sifr + ultimate, it's such a chill matchup, you can always dodge the targeting of veiler, targeting of drillbeam if they irresponsibly use it on a monster, darkblade on summon threatens backrow, forcing them to act. Non-target pop is usually easy to play around.
Memento is insane going first, nonengine focuses on going second with fuwa, Duster and Lightning Storm are either huge blowouts or force an omni usually, talents is talents.
Endboard is whatever I feel like/have, usually Combined Creation + I:P under elf, 2 quickplays + trap, grave loaded with akihiron, ghattic, goblin (added back with elf + ghattic)((more important if I don't have elf up)) and angwitch in hand or grave, sometimes trihorned also on field. Just freestyle it.
I did miss Thrust, it can get you anything you want, starter with reinforcement, any extender, or set the trap, or nonengine obv. Also had 6+ games where I had crossout and ate an imperm (not activating my talents), not playing imperm sucks for that reason, but I stand by the decision still.
Every card in ED came up except Dragostapelia, the memento fusions/guardian almost always come first. Azaela clears your field of non-mementos and threatens backrow. Ty-Phon is godlike in grindy decks such as this, came up very often, and I even wished I had 2 of them not once.
Selene, Accesscode, Angel are less relevant now with your greatly increased otk power, but they're still solid plan Bs or removal, especially under d-barrier/negated fusion. ***** cross-sheep and apo.
Didn't count but coinflips definitely weren't in my favor.
Been playing memento since it's MD release and all thorough, the new support is crack cocaine to the deck.
