M5 -> M1

It did take 6 promotion games to get out of M4 into M3. Lost the flips in 4 of them and the 1 game I won the flip and lost the game still was when I didn't open a Traptrix name.

I wasn't originally running Lancea since I hadn't been seeing Maliss often enough.. however, after seeing Maliss 6 games in a row (while going second in 5), I added them in. Removed an Ogre since while I like her, she doesn't really do much against Maliss.

Overall, the climb wasn't too bad. The only card in the ED that never came up was Dweller. It was in there primarily to stop Fiendsmith recursion or helping to deal with Unchained/Fire King or other decks similar to those since I didn't have strong thoughts about what other card to run.

Belle was alright, but I didn't see her enough to make a good judgment. It also doesn't help that you need Maxx C/Lancea to stop Maliss from going off while going second most of the time, so if Belle is useless in that scenario, I'm not sure how fair it is to judge her about that.

  1. Going second against Maliss [3 Lancea - all kanji] Opened Lancea + Maxx C, but also had 3 Traptrix names + 1 trap, so couldn't really get anything going. Thought it was funny how it ended though. Drillbeam v2 made it rough as well.
  2. Going first against Tenpai [3 royal XYZ - Player] Opened a bit mid, but somehow survived while the game turned into a slog.
  3. Going second against Supreme King Pend in rated [3 ghost girls - tteekaa]
