Notes & Combos

Crystron EARTH Machine to M1!! For D5-M4 I used the previous WCQ list, for M4-M1 I used this one (with some adjustments).

The first change since my last post is running 60 cards. This enables Thrust + Grass, which is insane going second (assuming it goes through), much better than a lone handtrap. Since you just need to go 1-3 to avoid demotion, the added "sacky" factor helps a lot. Thrust into Black Goat is also helpful going first, but with FBG at 1, Black Goat isn't necessary.

The other new innovation is the Millennium engine, a tech taken from better Crystron variants. Despite us not using generic Link material that well, there's a ton of small synergies the Millennium engine, due to the Millenniums placing themselves as Continuous Spells.

  • Ash'd Millennium + Jet in hand = full On Your Mark Combo.
  • Under Night, all monsters are treated as Machines, allowing them to be used for Knight's revive, Links, Dozer, etc. This makes Recycler + Millennium very resistant.
  • Doomed Dragon's push effect can be used on your own Golem. We don't use Golem much, so this lets us keep a Continuous Spell on field if we're allowed to make a Rank 8.
  • Regulus' equipped monster counts towards Doomed Dragon' summon.
  • Road Roller protects you from battle, compensating for the LP cost.

Plus, there's all the existing synergies that already exist with Crystron. The deck has a hard time OTK'ing without Machinas or Trains, which the Millenniums help with. Tribute Summon Sulfador is also possible.

Off of Vampire, there are 12 good mills in the deck (1 Jet, 1 Harvester, 3 Recycler, 3 Smiger, 2 Sulfador, 2 Night); with nothing in hand, that's a 63% to hit. You could also hit a 2-card combo or Regulus. Furthermore, people love handtrapping the Millennium engine; if the opponent interrups the engine, the chance to whiff is irrelevant.

This engine will suck once Ryzeal hits the meta, but so is the rest of the deck, so let's enjoy it while we can.

You can add Photon Lord and/or S:P, but the Extra Deck is super tight already.

2nd Sulfador is added for better Zombie Vamp chances, with F.A. Dawn Dragster + Qliphort Genius added for the added combo lines this offers. I've recently decided to swap out the 2nd Sulfador for another Sengenjin.

2nd Dozer is there in case one gets milled by Vamp or Grass.
