Notes & Combos
Got into Master Duel 2 barely 2 months ago. Can't afford the top tier decks, so I spent my gems on the decks that I like that are very affordable, Resonators and Traptrix. The extra gems and dusts were spent on staples. I found the best ratio that I could with this 44 card deck. I got the standard Traptrix Monster Ratio as well as the standard Ratio for the Kashtira (anti-fun) engine.
Going first with my Kashtira Unicorn, punishes any ED reliant decks, if they dare to activate any monster effect. For Maliss, your best target is White Binder. For Fiendsmith, it is Requiem. For Blue-Eyes it is Tyrant or Crimson Dragon. For Branded it is Mirror Jade. Generic targets for all others are Apollo USA, Baronne, Little Knight and Garura ( super poly target ).
The Traptrix main engine destroys Maliss even with the most minimal setup. Trap Hole Nightmare chases them wherever they go, so dodging won't help them. Maliss also relies on normal traps which enables my Sera further. Can't count how many times Maliss responded with Dominus Impulse to my Sera. Gravedigger's traphole punishes them so hard as it covers the hand, GY and banishment.
My MVP Card for this deck is Super Poly. In my play style, I don't summon much from my ED on my turn, to play around Maxx "C" and Fuwa, so I sacrificed 5 ED slots for Super Poly targets. It allowed me to play against boards that I have no business breaking. I also do not want to carry too many handtraps. My hand traps are just there for crossout targets. I prefer to have Super Poly in my starting hand, so I have a powerful board breaker and to sack my opponent's when they go 2nd.
I tried the Full-Armor Engine, however, for some reason, I always get the Full-Armor XYZ in my starting hand, so I dropped it.
I had so many opportunities to get to Master much earlier, however, I made a lot of misplays and mis reads. I kept going until I got the best ratio and best play-style that suits me and the format. Very happy to reach Master with a table 500 deck.
