Notes & Combos

For season 41, easily my favorite deck to play. No floodgates to be found, just good honest control gameplay through wise use of deck knowledge, your own resources to negate plays. Lots of decisions to make from game to game.

As for card choices, the stand outs are likely Dipity, Air Eater, and probably Imperm. Dipity + lvl 6 Bystial = 2-attribute Chaos Angel, and Dip also leads into FS Requiem also. Keep in mind using Lordly Lode's 2nd effect will not let you activate effects on field. The best work around for this is to summon Dipity into FS Requiem to use on your opponent's Main Phase.

Air Eater was chosen due to Bystials, especially Magnamhut being everywhere and makes your Primite grind immune to Bystials and the card still enables Drill Beam activation and Roar's GY effect nicely.

As for handtrap choices, a useful rule of thumb I stick with is if a HT is hard once-per-turn and a meta call, I run 2 of it. That is why there are 2 Ghost Ogres and 2 Nibirus, but 3 Veiler/Imperm. My attitude with Bystials is the same, preferring 2 Druiswurm only in emergency situations.

Imperm does dodge Talents/Thrust, but I mainly played it for when the "activate a trap" daily shows up. It has some tensity with Bystials going 2nd.

The Tearlaments game is a slightly different decklist. Duston, Beast of Talwar, 2 Drillbeams, Imduk, Striker Dragon (instead of Spheres/Chaos Angel) but otherwise the same.
