Notes & Combos

The deck is based off of FS Centurion and incorporates Mitsurugi for 3 reasons. First, Mitsurugi is incredibly strong going second and provides grindgame that Centur-Ion somewhat lacks, especially vs particular boardbreakers. Second, Mitsurugi cards are level 4 and 8, and thus synchronize pretty well with the level 8 and 12 synchros that Centur-Ion wants to make. Last, both Mitsurugi and Centur-Ion have the same bridge through Fiendsmith: the Chorozo combo. So you're not sacrificing much in the ED (just one slot) to incorporate this super strong engine that helps going second. I guess another plus is that Mitsu draws you a lot of cards you can use to discard for Stand Up.

Cent and FS help Mitsu play vs Droll. Cent helps Mitsu and FS play vs Maxx C and Fuwa. FS and Mitsu give Cent a lot more gas to play through interruption, because playing pure Cent with hand traps is too weak in the current meta.

No Atrii because lol why would I want more bricks? Only 1 Trudea and 1 Primera because there are a lot of normal summonable cards that I don't want to flood my hand with.

1 Engraver because Engraver is actually a bad starter into droll. I kept the bare minimum brickless FS engine in this deck because I prefer going into FS with moon of the closed heaven. FS is the weakest starting engine on paper because you have to choose between going into either Centur-Ion or Mitsurugi. Either of the other two can go into eachother through Fiendsmith.

1 Blazar because the 2nd didn't come up often and if you got one out then you're probably going to win regardless. Chaos Angel is still there as a potential target with Engraver or Bystials.

Appo is your generic boss monster if you end on Fiendsmith combo or if you have a ton of bodies through Mitsurugi. Might want Caesar and Photon Lord if Appo gets banned.

I really like Ty-phon for the extra push because none of the engines lock you. Since the deck has a lot of gas through engine, sometimes that extra push with Ty-phon makes all the difference.

Other considerations include running S:P because S:P. There isn't a ton that you can do to remove spells/traps so S:P is a card I'd really like to incorporate.

Almiraj is also worth a shout to unbrick Saji but that's only relevant if you don't open any other Mitsu card or any other normal summon.

Photon lord is also an option but is pretty win-more.

Imperm sucks this meta. 50% of my games are vs Maliss and there are a bunch of Orcust players so Lancea is a must imo.
