Notes & Combos
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'VE DONE IT AGAIN! Really easy climb compared to previous DC Cups ngl. Consistent wins until I got shiftered/difi'd/macro cosmosed 5 times in an hour. This deck can actually play through some of those but it's still an uphill battle.
If you want to see more specifics on the build, check the last list I uploaded. This time I'm just gonna go over some small changes I made + new things I learned.
So, I learned that the spot devoted to Legatia is actually more optional than I previously thought. Instead of setting up Cent backrow to make Legatia on the opponent's turn under Maxx C, you can make Primus instead. Sure, no draw, but Primus' pop is actually way better than Legatia's. If you need to make another monster with Centur-Ion backrow, you can shuffle back your own Blazar with Pater and make it again. Legatia isn't needed to revive Cent engine either because we're running Phalanx. Not to say Legatia is redundant; it's very nice if your Auxila and Blazar get super poly-d away and you can't get them back. But I think that's less common than the cases where S:P comes in handy.
If you get stopped bad and need to normal summon a monster to continue FS line, or if you have to NS lurrie or lacrima as your only play, or any other awkward circumstances where you get stopped, 2 bodies into S:P atleast makes an interruption and can help you live another turn. S:P can also remove backrow, which this deck can't normally do. Also a great boardbreaker with Millennium.
I was running Royal Supernova in that slot instead during the climb actually but I only made it once and I was already winning by a lot. S:P is def a better choice.
I think the realistic options for that slot are S:P or Legatia. Maybe you can consider Chaos Angel. Appo/Savage/2nd Blazar feel win-more. Maybe Red Rising if you wanna preserve that bridge into Centurion or to atleast make Abyss if you open only Soul/Gaia.
Anyway, that's the only major change. My non-engine picks always change depending on what I see. Experimenting with more Fuwa because it's not bad in a deck that discards as much as this one. Trying to cut some engine out for more non-engine because the deck can grind pretty nice with FS, Bone, and even Millennium sometimes. Not sure what to cut tho. Tract to 1. Golem and Sengenjin are the best starters and I like seeing bone in hand. Oath is better than Stand-up, so maybe I drop 1? Discard cost can be a little awkward sometimes.
Whatever, lmk if you have Questions
