Notes & Combos
This list was largely stolen from this video here, with some revisions I made to suit my own tastes. I feel like having the Link Spider for Nib tokens is more valuable to me than TY-PHON considering how capable this deck has been of bouncing back after getting hit with the rock.
I had already been running multiple Creations for consistency as a discard, but it wasn't until I saw the above video that I realized the problem I was having with that plan was that there were too many things that couldn't toss it. The second Lurrie is here for a similar reason. It isn't once per turn, so having more chances to convert it into either Fiendsmith or generic Link material was helpful. My goal was basically always to bait interaction on Fiendsmith stuff if I could before going Vaalmonica, especially going second.
Only use Zebufera for Fiendsmith if you absolutely have to. Better to have a Caesar and a Zeb than just a Desirae, and better to have just a Zeb than a Desirae if you have trap access in my experience. My priority was always getting Zeb with trap access > Caesar > Fiendsmith stuff.
Tech stuff:
Tried 3 Tracts. Found I preferred a second Lurrie. Could still be good, but the second Lurrie does more through interaction.
The only handtraps are the ones that consistently threaten a turn end for the opponent. Most decks can play through getting Ash'd or Veiler'd or Imperm'd draw handtrapped to at least some degree. A lot of time I found if I had sufficiently stopped the opponent's turn running the higher individual impact/more flexible handtraps I would just have nothing on my own turn, or in some cases just wouldn't be able to do anything on my first turn because I had too much interaction and not enough to play through it. Once again, credit to the above video. Could sub in Retaliating C if people stop running Millennium over it again. Pretty easy to clear it off the board on turn 2, either with a Vaalmonica quick link/I:P on the opponent's turn, or normaling a Vaalmonica to make I:P/S:P/Bagooska on yours.
Replays
Games aren't super interesting IMO. A lot of just beating people in simplified gamestates. I'll save interesting ones at ID: 821-075-464 but for the meantime expect a lot of them to be last season's Azamina White Forest.
