Notes & Combos
Blind second Mitsu for the Master 1 win streak!
Despite Mitsurugi being unsavory lately as an extra splash in other decks to take their ceiling to unreasonable levels, I have always found the pure version of the deck to be really cool!
Drop the hand traps, load up on board breakers, go second and hold on for the ride!
Many people use the fact that Mitsurugi has so many 1 card combos to just make their combo lines insane, but I prefer to go the other way and just fill up to the brim with board breakers. You will have to play into Opponent's Maxx C/Ash but you generate so much advantage during your board breaking that you can either kill them immediately or leave yourself with so many resources that it's unfeasible to kill you on the crack back.
In particular Mitsurugi Wousu is a very cool in archtype Kaiju that pluses you at the same time (although it shockingly reptile locks you unlike everything else so you need to make sure to use super poly FIRST)
Also because the Extra is basically just a toolbox, this deck makes incredible use of Gordian Slicer for 2, and if you have a redundant hand can even go for more.
The ratios could probably use a little bit of optimization, and maybe you could fit the trap in there as well but overall very pleased with how this deck performs!
If you are tired of the combo slop versions, I highly recommend giving this a try as it's an absolute blast breaking boards with.
The extra deck are either generic utility options, slayer options, or super poly targets.
